Scindia’s big statement: Telecom connectivity coverage in villages will be 100% in the next 12 months

Telecom Connectivity: On Saturday (July 27), a big statement came from Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia in which he made an important announcement. He said that within the next 12 months, complete telecom connectivity coverage will be ensured in all the villages. Union Minister for Telecom and Development of North Eastern Region Scindia said that the Cabinet has approved a special fund for this scheme. Also, the progress of work will be monitored every week.

Telecom connectivity scheme in 24,000 villages under the Prime Minister’s commitment

Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia said during the press conference that the Prime Minister is fully committed to making this project a complete success. He informed that the government has identified about 24,000 villages where there is a serious need for telecom connection. A special scheme has been started to achieve this goal and the required funds have also been released. Special strategies are also being worked on to improve telecom connectivity in the northeastern states, which will lead to improvement in this sector.

New project to improve telecom connectivity in villages

Scindia has announced the use of V-sat and satellite technologies to improve telecom services in villages under the new Telecom Act. The project aims to provide telecom services to all villages in the country within a year. Under this scheme, services have been started in 1300 to 1400 villages and a budget has also been allocated for the north-eastern states.
