Ultraviolette X-47: World’s First Radar and Camera-Integrated Motorcycle

Indian electric vehicle startup Ultraviolette Automotive has taken a historic step by launching its new Ultraviolette X-47 crossover electric bike, marking the world’s first motorcycle equipped with an integrated radar and camera system. This isn’t just another electric bike—it’s a revolutionary machine setting new benchmarks in technology, safety, and performance.
The X-47 is priced at ₹2,49,000 (ex-showroom) in India. Deliveries will commence from October 2025, while the global launch is scheduled for 2026. It will be introduced gradually across Europe, the UK, Germany, and several other markets.
Design and Performance
The Ultraviolette X-47 is designed with a focus on power and performance. It houses a 10.3 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 323 kilometers on a single charge. This makes it a game-changer for both Indian conditions and long-distance riding.
The bike delivers 100 Nm of torque and accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.7 seconds. Its top speed reaches 145 km/h, making it capable across city roads and highways alike. In terms of performance, it stands on par with any premium electric sports bike.
Unique Radar and Camera Integration
The X-47’s standout feature is its safety technology. It is the world’s first electric bike to incorporate the UV HyperSense Radar, a 6th-generation radar with a range of 200 meters. This enables multiple safety features:
- Blind-spot monitoring
- Lane-change assist
- Overtake alert
- Rear collision warning
Additionally, the X-47 is equipped with a dual camera system—front and rear with 1080p HDR recording. It features a dedicated emergency video lock, which secures footage in case of accidents or sudden braking.
This technology is expected to be a major advancement for Indian roads, particularly where the lack of safety and alert systems often leads to accidents.
Braking and Control
The bike comes with Bosch 10th-generation dual-channel ABS and Brembo brakes, ensuring safety alongside performance. This system provides riders with extra control even under challenging conditions. Moreover, it features a three-level traction control system, maintaining stability across varying weather and road conditions.
Riding Modes
To offer a versatile riding experience, the X-47 comes with three riding modes:
- Glide – for long-distance and comfortable riding
- Combat – for balanced speed and control
- Ballistic – for full performance and an adrenaline rush
These modes allow riders to tune the bike according to their needs, optimizing speed and power as required.
Smart Technology and Future-Ready Features
The X-47 goes beyond performance and safety. It features a 5-inch TFT display providing all essential ride information. The display comes with smart controls and a Type-C charging port.
A standout feature is Parallel Boost Charging, which halves the charging time, allowing riders to get back on the road faster.
Pricing and Market Strategy
Ultraviolette has launched the X-47 in India at a special price of ₹2,49,000 (ex-showroom) for the first 1,000 customers. Subsequent pricing may rise to ₹2,74,000. Deliveries in India will start from October 2025.
Globally, deliveries will begin in 2026. The bike will be introduced in 10 key European countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands. The company is also eyeing emerging markets in Southeast Asia and Latin America.
This strategy indicates Ultraviolette’s aim to leverage India as its initial lab while positioning itself as a major player in the global market.
Ultraviolette and Its Vision

At the launch, Ultraviolette CEO Narayan Subramaniam stated that the X-47 is designed not just to deliver power and performance, but to focus on rider safety, precision, and high-tech experience.
According to him, the bike showcases the strength of Indian engineering and design to the world. “We believe that future mobility solutions are complete only when there is a balance of performance and safety. The X-47 embodies this ideal.”
Global Leap for Indian Technology
The launch of the X-47 is not just a product unveiling; it represents a major step in establishing Indian electric mobility technology on the global stage. Ultraviolette had previously marked its presence in Europe with the F77 model, and the X-47 aims to strengthen that footprint further.
Conclusion
The Ultraviolette X-47 is more than just an electric bike—it’s a trailblazer for future mobility. From performance to safety, radar and camera systems to smart charging, it sets new benchmarks on every front.
