Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief: The Commander-in-Chief of the Navy of the Russian Federation, Admiral Alexander Alekseyevich Moiseyev, is on an official visit to India from 19 to 22 August 2024. The main objective of this visit is to enhance cooperation between the navies of India and Russia and to explore new cooperation opportunities.
On 19 August, Admiral Moiseyev met the Chief of the Indian Navy, Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi in New Delhi. During this, ways to strengthen cooperation between the navies of the two countries were discussed. He received a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the South Block Lawns in New Delhi.
The Indian Navy and the Navy of the Russian Federation have cooperation in many areas, such as military and technical cooperation, training, hydrographic cooperation, and exchange of experts. The Indian Navy also interacts with the Russian Navy on various multilateral forums.
During his visit, Admiral Moiseyev will also meet the Chief of Defence Staff, Defence Secretary, Vice-Chief of the Air Force and National Maritime Security Coordinator in New Delhi. In addition, in Mumbai, he will visit the Western Naval Command, indigenous warships and submarines, Naval Dockyard and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited.
