Earthquake-sensitive region

Kashmir and the surrounding Himalayan region are considered seismically sensitive. According to experts, geological activity continues here due to pressure between the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates, which is why earthquakes keep occurring from time to time. For this reason, people are advised to remain alert and follow safety-related instructions.
