Tata Motors has once again stirred the Indian automotive market with the launch of its premium hatchback Tata Altroz Facelift. With its stylish design, advanced features, and impressive fuel efficiency, this car is capturing the attention of car buyers. However, what truly sets it apart is the introduction of the Tata Altroz CNG AMT – a feature that makes it the first of its kind in its segment and India’s first CNG automatic premium hatchback. Tata Altroz Facelift New Technology

The Tata Altroz Facelift was launched in India on 22 May 2025, with prices ranging from ₹6.89 lakh to ₹11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The on-road prices in Mumbai fall between ₹8.13 lakh and ₹13.68 lakh. The car is available in petrol, diesel, and CNG variants, making it a versatile choice for all types of buyers. The expected launch of the Tata Altroz CNG AMT will give it an edge over rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, and Toyota Glanza.

The Tata Altroz Facelift comes in five variants: Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished Plus S. Colour options include Dune Glow, Pristine White, Royal Blue, Ember Glow, and Pure Grey, with dual-tone black roof offered from the Accomplished S trim onwards.

Tata Motors’ Managing Director, Shailesh Chandra, mentioned during the launch event that 25% of Altroz buyers prefer automatic variants, and 70% are first-time buyers. Note: The Altroz Racer’s turbo petrol engine (118 bhp) is not part of the facelift yet but might launch in the future.

Tata Altroz CNG AMT Price

The price of the Tata Altroz CNG AMT hasn’t been officially announced yet, but it’s expected to be ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh higher than the current CNG variants. The existing CNG models are priced between ₹7.89 lakh and ₹11.09 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on this, the Tata Altroz CNG AMT is likely to be priced between ₹8.5 lakh and ₹12 lakh (ex-showroom).

The design of the Tata Altroz Facelift aligns with Tata’s new design language, seen in models like the Nexon, Curvv, and Safari. Key design updates include:

  • LED headlamps and slim LED DRLs.
  • Refreshed front grille and new bumpers.
  • 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
  • Flush-type door handles (segment-first with illumination).
