Known globally for its tech innovation, the American company Apple is set to launch its fitness and wellness service Apple Fitness+ in 28 new countries and regions, including India. The company has confirmed that this premium subscription service will be available from December 15, 2025. This expansion is considered the largest international rollout since the introduction of Apple Fitness+.

Apple Watch users will now experience a new level of health, wellness and motivation through workouts, meditation sessions and audio-guided programs. The service will be available on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

The Workout Experience Will Become More Real-Time and Smarter

Apple Fitness+ is not limited to exercise sessions. It provides real-time feedback and insights. With Apple Watch connectivity, users can view their heart rate, calories burned, activity rings and the popular Burn Bar directly on the screen. This helps them track their progress and compare performance with others, adding both competition and motivation to their fitness journey.

Fitness+ includes 12 workout categories, such as Strength, Yoga, HIIT, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Kickboxing and Mindfulness Meditation. Users can choose sessions ranging from 5 to 45 minutes, depending on their mood and energy level.

Custom Plans and AI-Powered Fitness Schedules

Apple Fitness+ is now more personalized than ever. The platform creates custom plans based on users’ fitness goals, workout history and preferences. For example, whether someone aims to lose weight or improve running endurance, Fitness+ automatically recommends relevant videos, workouts and guidance.

The December update also brings a new K-Pop music genre, added keeping in mind the rising popularity of Asian music. This will make workout sessions more energetic and culturally engaging for users.

A Powerful Blend of Music and Motivational Content

The content on Fitness+ goes beyond workouts. Apple aims to create a holistic wellness experience. The “Artist Spotlight” series now includes special playlists from global music icons like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and BTS. These playlists match workout tempo, making sessions more natural and high-energy.

Apple’s popular “Time to Walk” series will now be available for Indian and Asian markets as well. Personalities such as Yuki Tsunoda and other global names share inspiring stories, helping users stay physically active while also supporting mental calmness and self-growth.

Experience in New Languages

Apple Fitness+ now places strong emphasis on language diversity. The service will support dubbed content in Spanish, German and Japanese to make sessions comfortable for non-English speakers. This feature will be available on devices running iOS 26.1.

The company has also refreshed its 12 meditation themes—including Calm, Sleep, Gratitude and Resilience—with new visuals and musical scores. Whether users are beginners or advanced, they will receive consistent guidance and motivation.

Special Collections and Goal-Based Programs

Fitness+ features dedicated collections that focus on specific goals. “Run Your First 5K” is designed for users attempting a running challenge for the first time, while “No Shoes Workouts” includes sessions that can be done at home without equipment or footwear.

These curated updates set Fitness+ apart from other fitness apps, offering clear tracking and a structured path toward continuous improvement.

Launch Date and Availability in India and 28 New Countries

From December 15, 2025, Apple Fitness+ will be available in a total of 49 countries and regions. The new markets include India, Chile, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Norway, the Philippines, Poland, Sweden, Taiwan and Vietnam.

In Japan, the service will launch in early 2026, with dedicated Japanese dubbing. The minimum requirements include Apple Watch Series 3 (watchOS 7.2+) and iPhone 8 or newer (iOS 16.1+).

In India, the service will run smoothly across Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, offering an integrated experience for Apple ecosystem users.

Rising Fitness Trend and Apple’s Opportunity

In recent years, awareness regarding fitness and health has increased significantly. Since the pandemic, digital fitness apps have seen a surge in popularity. Apple Fitness+ enters the market at a timely moment, where platforms like Cult.fit, Fittr and Google Fit already have strong user bases.

Free Trial and Global Pricing

As part of its smart marketing strategy, Apple has announced that anyone purchasing a new Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, AirPods Pro 3 or Powerbeats Pro 2 will receive a three-month free subscription.

Globally, the service is priced at $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. In India, the subscription starts at ₹149 per month or ₹999 per year. Importantly, the plan can be shared with up to five family members. The local pricing makes it more accessible for Indian users.
