Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2024, a major tournament with a prize pool of Rs 2 crore for BGMI players has started in India.
Krafton, the developer of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), has launched a new gaming tournament series in India – Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2024 (BMPS). The tournament started on 20 August 2024 and a total of 128 teams are participating in it. The tournament has a total prize pool of Rs 2 crore.
Tournament Structure
BMPS 2024 tournament: The BMPS 2024 tournament will run for the next 40 days and have two major stages – the League Stage and Grand Finals. All 128 teams will be divided into two groups: Group Red and Group Blue. Each group will be divided into four parts, with 16 teams in each group. All groups will have to play 6 matches in the first round. After this round, 64 teams will qualify for the next round.
Rounds and Semi-finals
In Round 2 from 7th to 10th September, 64 teams will be divided into three groups of 16 each and 48 teams will qualify for Round 3. In Round 3 from 11th to 14th September, 48 teams divided into three groups of 16 each will play 8 matches. After this round, 24 teams will qualify for the semi-finals. The semi-finals will be held from 15th to 18th September, in which 16 out of the 24 teams will be eligible for the Grand Finals.
Finals and prizes
The Grand Finals will be held from 27th to 29th September in Kochi, where 16 finalists will try their luck. The winning team will get a prize of Rs 75 lakh, the second position team will get Rs 30 lakh, and the third position team will get Rs 20 lakh. The remaining prize money will be distributed among the top 16 teams.
