After the announcement of special infrastructure projects and big investments in the central government’s budget, Gautam Adani’s company Ambuja Cement investing Rs 1600 crore in Bihar is a sign of a significant change in the economic scenario of this state.
According to the information shared by Karan Adani, who is Gautam Adani’s son, Ambuja Cement is going to set up a cement grinding unit in Bihar. This project will not only increase the state’s cement production capacity but also create local employment opportunities and improve the state’s overall economic condition.
How much cement will be produced every year?
This much cement will be produced every year: Adani Group’s Ambuja Cement is going to set up a state-of-the-art cement grinding unit in Warisaliganj, Bihar. The total production capacity of this unit will be 60 lakh tonnes per annum (MTPA). This ambitious project will be completed in three phases.
In the first phase, a unit of 2.4 MTPA capacity will be constructed with an investment of Rs 1,100 crore, and it is targeted to be operational by December 2025.
Adequate land has been arranged for the construction of this unit, which will facilitate future expansion. The plant will be located at Mosama village in Warisaliganj, which is well connected by road and rail. Warisaliganj railway station is only 1 km away and SH-83 is just 500 meters away, which will ensure ease of transportation.
Ambuja Cement’s new unit
Warisaliganj: Adani Group’s Ambuja Cement is going to set up a new cement grinding unit in Warisaliganj tehsil of Nawada district in Bihar. The unit will have a total production capacity of 60 lakh tonnes per annum (MTPA) and will be completed in three phases.
In the first phase, a unit with a capacity of 2.4 MTPA will be constructed with an investment of Rs 1,100 crore, and it is planned to be operational by December 2025.
Keeping in mind future expansion, land has been efficiently managed, which will enable the second phase unit to be started on time with minimum capital expenditure. The plant will be located at Mosama village in Warisaliganj, which is well connected by both road and rail. Warisaliganj railway station is just 1 km away and SH-83 is only 500 meters away, making it extremely convenient from a transportation point of view.

New investments of Adani Group and Ambuja Cements in Bihar
The company says that this new project will play an important role in meeting the growing infrastructure needs of Bihar. Recently, Bihar has also received the gift of many road infrastructure projects in the Union Budget. To start this project, the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) organized a grand foundation stone laying ceremony on August 3.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said: At this ceremony, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, “This investment of Adani Group is a clear indication of our commitment to the development of Bihar.” He further added that this project of Adani Group is expected to generate 250 direct and about 1000 indirect jobs in the state. Additionally, this project will contribute about Rs 250 crore every year to the revenue of the state government.
BIADA has allotted 67.90 acres of land for this cement unit and has also obtained environmental clearance. The unit is likely to be operational by December 2025. Also, Ambuja Cements Limited has been allotted 26.60 acres of land for another cement unit at Mahabal Industrial Area, Motipur, Muzaffarpur, which will further boost regional development.
