Launch details
- India launched its first reusable hybrid rocket RHUMI-1 on Saturday.
- The rocket has been developed in collaboration with Tamil Nadu-based start-up Space Zone India and Martin Group.
- Launched from Thiruvidandai in Chennai, the rocket sent three cube satellites and 50 pico satellites on a suborbital path.

- The main objective of the RHUMI-1 rocket is data collection for research on global warming and climate change.
- The rocket is equipped with a common fuel-based hybrid motor and an electronically triggered parachute deployer.
- RHUMI-1 is completely pyrotechnic-free and 0% TNT.
