Kia India has announced the launch of the new Kia Carnival and bookings have started. Sales of this new luxury MPV will start from October 3 and deliveries are expected to begin by the end of October. Initially, the Carnival will be sold as a full import and local assembly is planned.

The new Kia Carnival will be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine. In the international market, it is also available with a 1.6-litre turbo petrol hybrid and a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine option.

This MPV will include state-of-the-art technology such as dual 12.3-inch displays, head-up display, and digital rear-view mirrors as well as front and rear dash cameras as safety features. Additionally, the updated digital key fingerprint recognition and ambient lighting on the dashboard will also be available.

The new Kia Carnival will have an elegant and premium design. It will be available in two or three colours, including white and black.

The fully imported Kia Carnival in India is likely to be priced at around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Kia Carnival does not have a direct rival in India. The top variant of the Toyota Innova Hycross is priced at around Rs 30 lakh, while the Toyota Vellfire starts at Rs 1.22 crore (ex-showroom).
