UK-based iconic motorcycle brand Norton Motorcycles is all set to launch its premium range in the Indian market by the end of 2025. This move marks a strategic collaboration with TVS Motor Company, aimed at bringing the British brand’s legacy and advanced technology to Indian riders. With Norton’s powerful comeback, Indian motorcycle enthusiasts will have exciting new choices, intensifying competition in the premium two-wheeler segment.

TVS-Norton Deal Set to Disrupt Indian Market

TVS Motor had acquired the Norton brand in 2020 for approximately ₹153 crore and has since invested nearly ₹1,000 crore into the brand. This investment covers R&D, product development, and the establishment of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Solihull, UK, with an annual production capacity of around 8,000 premium motorcycles.

According to TVS MD Sudarshan Venu, Norton motorcycles will officially launch in India by the end of 2025, a timeline influenced by the India-UK Free Trade Agreement. The agreement is expected to streamline supply chains and production, leading to competitive pricing for Norton bikes. TVS aims to position Norton as a formidable player in India’s premium motorcycle segment.

Launch Timeline and Model Plans

The first global debut of Norton’s new motorcycle is scheduled for November 4, 2025, at the prestigious EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy. The Indian launch will follow soon after.

TVS and Norton together plan to introduce six new models over the next three years for both Indian and global markets. At least one of these will be a mid-size bike with an engine capacity ranging from 350cc to 450cc, specifically tailored for emerging markets like India. In addition, a larger 600cc–650cc global platform is under development for markets such as Europe and other premium regions.

Technical Highlights and Design

The upcoming Norton motorcycles will feature advanced 1200cc V4 engine technology, equipped with upgraded performance capabilities and cutting-edge electronic systems including multiple riding modes, traction control, and cornering ABS. The lineup will include superbikes and roadsters designed for top-tier performance and durability.

Design-wise, the new Norton bikes will sport a bold, aggressive look. Recent spy shots and teaser images of the new V4 model reveal a much more modern and premium appearance compared to the previous V4SV model, featuring LED headlamps, a redesigned front, and a sharp tail section.

TVS-Norton to Shake Up Premium Segment

The partnership between Norton and TVS is poised to usher in a new era for India’s premium two-wheeler segment. Currently dominated by brands like Royal Enfield, KTM, and Triumph, the entry of Norton is expected to intensify competition. Norton plans to offer its motorcycles in India with a strong brand identity, focused on delivering reliability, engineering excellence, and superior performance.

TVS also intends to establish a separate sales and service channel for Norton to ensure a premium customer experience and strengthen the brand’s positioning in India.

Future Prospects

Over the next three years, Norton will continue to expand its portfolio in India with new model launches, enhancing the variety within the premium two-wheeler category. This initiative is expected to bring not only more options for Indian consumers but also boost local investment, employment, and technological development.

Conclusion

The joint venture between Norton and TVS promises to make India’s motorcycle landscape more exciting, competitive, and technologically advanced. With the brand’s legacy of quality, performance, and global engineering expertise, it is expected to resonate well with Indian biking enthusiasts. The official unveiling at the EICMA Show on November 4, 2025, will mark the beginning of this new journey, with Norton motorcycles soon expected to hit Indian roads.
