Islamabad: In a sharp escalation of the Pak Afghanistan War, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif on Thursday night announced the start of what he described as an open war with Afghanistan. The statement came after reported airstrikes on Afghan military positions. He declared through a social media post that direct conflict had now begun between the two countries.

In his message, he said in direct words, “Now an open war has begun between us and you. Now there will be dama… dam mast qalandar.” His statement is being seen as a formal warning amid rising tension in the region.

Accusation of Afghanistan being India’s proxy

In his post, Khawaja Asif made serious allegations against the Taliban government. He wrote, “After the withdrawal of NATO forces, it was expected that peace would come to Afghanistan and that the Taliban’s focus would be on the Afghan people and regional peace. But the Taliban turned Afghanistan into a colony of India.

They gathered terrorists from around the world in Afghanistan and started exporting terrorism. They deprived their own people of basic facilities. They took away from women the rights that Islam had given them. Pakistan directly and through friendly countries made every possible effort to keep the situation normal. It pursued full diplomacy. But the Taliban became India’s proxy.”

We know your inside and outside… Allahu Akbar

In the final part of his post, Khawaja Asif described Pakistan’s military action as self-defense. He wrote, “Today when attempts are being made to target Pakistan with aggression… Alhamdulillah, our forces are giving a decisive response at this time. In the past, Pakistan’s role has been positive. It has given shelter to 5 million Afghans for 50 years. Even today, millions of Afghans are earning their livelihood on our land. The cup of our patience has filled up.

Now there is open war between us and you. Now ‘Damadum Mast Qalandar’ will happen. Pakistan’s army has not come from across the seas. We are your neighbors; we know your inside and outside. Allahu Akbar.”
