Pakistan Afghanistan Conflict: The confrontation between Pakistan and Afghanistan has once again come out in the open. Meanwhile, the Taliban administration has claimed that its air defense units shot down a Pakistani fighter jet. The situation appears to be deteriorating rapidly and retaliatory actions are continuing from both sides. In fact, tensions deepened further when Pakistan carried out airstrikes in Kabul and Kandahar on Friday. Within a few hours of this, Afghan forces targeted Pakistani soldiers in the border area, making the situation even more serious.
According to Taliban administration spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid, air action was carried out by Pakistan in the capital Kabul as well as in the southern city of Kandahar and the southeastern province of Paktia. A report by the international news agency AP said that at least three explosions were heard in Kabul. It is not yet clear what the exact target of the attacks was and how much damage or casualties occurred.
On the other hand, Pakistani security sources said that their army carried out action on Afghan military installations located in Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia, claiming that two brigade headquarters were destroyed. However, no official information has been shared regarding any damage or the number of deaths in this regard.
Khawaja Asif’s Strong Warning, Explosion at Camp Near Torkham Border
Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has expressed a tough stand regarding Afghanistan. Posting a message on social media platform X, he said that there is no room left for patience now and the situation has reached the point of open war.
Meanwhile, from Afghanistan’s side, damage has also been reported in the border area. An official told the media that near the Torkham border crossing, a camp set up for people returning from Pakistan was attacked, in which several civilians were injured. According to Nangarhar province information chief Quraishi Badloon, a mortar shell landed in the camp, injuring seven refugees and leaving one woman in serious condition.
Campaign Named ‘Ghazab Lil-Haq’
Pakistan has named its military operation ‘Ghazab Lil-Haq’. Through this name, the government has presented the action with a specific message.
‘Ghazab’ or ‘Ghazab’ is associated with wrath or intense anger. ‘Lil’ means — for, while ‘Haq’ is understood as truth, justice or Allah (God). When these words are combined, its meaning comes out as — ‘Wrath for the Truth’ or ‘Fury for Justice and Truth’.
