A step towards India’s Indigenous bullet train technology

India’s indigenous bullet train: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Wednesday that India is now moving towards developing bullet trains with indigenous technology. In the Lok Sabha, he said that the bullet train project being built between Ahmedabad and Mumbai is technically very complex and Japan’s assistance is being taken in its construction.

Progress and features of the Bullet Train Project

Bullet Train Project: Under the bullet train project, a 21 km long tunnel is being built about 30 meters below sea level, which will be India’s first undersea transport tunnel. Its construction work has started. The total length of this project is 508 km, out of which construction work is going on on 320 km. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that there was some delay in starting this project in Maharashtra, but after the Shinde and Fadnavis governments came to power, permission was granted and the land acquisition work in the state has also been completed.

India’s first transportation tunnel: Explaining the speciality of this project, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the 21-kilometre-long tunnel is being built about 30 meters below sea level. This tunnel will be India’s first undersea transportation tunnel. Its construction work has also started.
