Today’s Stock Market Status
Stock Market Today: The BSE Sensex recorded a marginal gain on today’s trading day. The Sensex closed at 81,086.21 with a gain of 33.02 points or 0.041%. Similarly, the NSE’s Nifty closed at 24,823.15 with a gain of 11.65 points or 0.047%. The total market cap of companies listed on the BSE declined to Rs 460.10 lakh crore from Rs 460.52 lakh crore on the previous day. Thus, investors’ wealth has decreased by about Rs 42,000 crore today.
Status of major stocks
17 out of 30 Sensex stocks saw a rise today. Tata Motors shares had the highest gain of 1.58%. Besides, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finserv and ICICI Bank shares closed with gains ranging from 1.44% to 1.07%.
