On World EV Day, Skoda unveiled the design sketches of its new electric SUV, the Skoda Elroq. The model will be the first vehicle to adopt Skoda’s new ‘Modern Solid’ design language. The Elroq will be Skoda’s second electric car, after its first model, the Enyaq iV.
- Skoda Elroq launch date: The Skoda Elroq will be introduced globally later this year and will go on sale in Europe in early 2025. India is also being considered, while the Enyaq iV has been confirmed to launch in India.
Skoda Elroq features
The Skoda Elroq will have a large infotainment screen located centrally, with only a few physical buttons below it. It will have a two-spoke steering wheel with Skoda lettering, and will also include a digital instrument cluster.
Skoda Elroq engine options
The Skoda Elroq will be available in four variants – Skoda Elroq 50, 60, 85 and 85x. The battery capacity and power output will range between 168hp to 295hp. There will be three battery packs available – 55kWh, 63kWh and 82kWh – and a claimed range of over 560km with RWD and AWD configurations.

The Skoda Elroq will feature headlamps with Skoda’s LED Matrix technology and will incorporate the latest safety features, prioritising safety.
Skoda Elroq design and colours
The Skoda Elroq will feature a ‘tech-deck face’ design, which will include Skoda’s lettering emblem and a new split headlamp setup. The traditional butterfly grille has been replaced with a smaller unit, and the car is finished in a new Timiano Green colour. At the rear, the Elroq features sharp wraparound LED taillights and a Skoda emblem at the centre.

Although prices for the Skoda Elroq have not been revealed yet, considering its various variants and specifications, it is expected to be in the premium segment.
