Stock market today: 13 August 2024: The Indian stock market has witnessed a significant decline. The BSE Sensex fell below the psychological mark of 79,000 points to close at 78,926.62 points, showing a decline of 722.30 points or 0.91%. The NSE Nifty also ended at 24,139 points, down 208 points or 0.85%. The total wealth of investors declined by about Rs 4.48 lakh crore during the day’s trading. The total market cap of companies listed on the BSE came down to Rs 445.34 lakh crore, down from Rs 449.82 lakh crore on the previous trading day.
