Xiaomi Black Shark GS3 Ultra smartwatch launches with 18-day battery

Chinese tech brand Xiaomi’s gaming sub-brand Black Shark has unveiled its latest premium smartwatch, the Black Shark GS3 Ultra, in China on 21 November 2025. The smartwatch has already gained strong attention among tech enthusiasts due to its advanced sensors, rugged military-grade build and long battery backup. At present, the watch appears with a “coming soon” status in China and is expected to go on sale in December 2025.
The company has not revealed any global launch date yet, but similar to the previous GS3 variant, this model is also expected to enter Europe and other Asian markets in the coming months.
Stylish build and rugged durability
The Black Shark GS3 Ultra is designed particularly for users who love gaming or engage in outdoor activities. The smartwatch features a metal frame and rugged construction supporting MIL-STD-810H military standards. This ensures the device continues to function smoothly even under extreme temperatures, shocks, dust exposure or underwater conditions.
It comes in two classic colour options — Black and Silver. The strap carries a rubberised texture, which is not only durable but also comfortable for long-term use.
Crystal-clear AMOLED panel
The GS3 Ultra features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels. With a peak brightness of 1000 nits, the screen remains clearly visible even in bright outdoor environments.
To ensure durability, the display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass, making it resistant to scratches and accidental drops. The smartwatch also includes more than 270 watch faces, including animated and theme-based designs, allowing users to switch styles based on their mood or outfit.
Health and fitness tracking

Xiaomi has significantly focused on health and fitness capabilities this time. The GS3 Ultra offers over 160 sports modes, covering running, cycling, yoga, swimming and several outdoor activities.
The health sensor suite includes a heart rate monitor, SpO₂ (blood oxygen) sensor, stress tracker, sleep monitoring and step tracking. Along with these, sensors such as an accelerometer, gyroscope, compass and barometer enhance tracking accuracy — making the watch suitable for both casual fitness users and professional athletes.
Battery performance
Battery life is one of the biggest highlights of this smartwatch. The Black Shark GS3 Ultra is equipped with a powerful battery that delivers up to 18 days of regular use. In basic usage mode, limited to clock and notification functions, the smartwatch can last up to 45 days on standby.
The device also supports dual-band GPS (L1+L5) along with BeiDou, GLONASS and Galileo satellite systems, offering accurate outdoor navigation and location tracking — especially useful for trekking and adventure users.
Calling and connectivity
The GS3 Ultra includes a Bluetooth calling feature, allowing users to receive or make calls directly from the watch. It is equipped with ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) technology, which reduces background noise during calls, ensuring a clear voice experience.
Once paired with a smartphone, users can control music, operate the camera shutter, receive app notifications and use other smart functions seamlessly.
Water and dust protection
Designed for rugged usage, the GS3 Ultra comes with 5ATM / IP68 / IP69K protection ratings. This means the smartwatch can survive water immersion up to 50 metres and remains fully resistant to dust and high-pressure water exposure — ideal for swimming, hiking or intense workouts.
Expected price and availability in international markets
Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the pricing of the Black Shark GS3 Ultra in China. However, the previous GS3 model was priced at CNY 499 (around ₹5,800). Based on that, the expected price range for the Ultra variant is estimated between ₹6,000 and ₹15,000, positioning it strongly in the mid-range smartwatch segment.
| Region | Expected Price (INR equivalent) | Availability Status |
|---|---|---|
| China | ~₹5,800 (CNY 499 expected) | Launched, sale soon |
| India | ₹14,999 (expected) | Coming soon |
| USA | ~$70–100 (expected) | Not confirmed |
| Europe/UK | ~£60–90 (expected) | Possible global launch soon |
| Bangladesh | Coming soon | Expected December 2025 |
If plans remain on schedule, the Indian launch could take place by late December 2025 or January 2026.
Black Shark’s expanding smart ecosystem
Black Shark initially gained popularity for its gaming smartphones, but the brand has been rapidly expanding into smartwatches and audio accessories. The GS3 Ultra reflects this strategic shift, aiming to build an ecosystem that offers performance, style and convenience for both gamers and fitness enthusiasts.
Conclusion
Overall, the Xiaomi Black Shark GS3 Ultra positions itself as a powerful smartwatch that delivers premium features for its expected price range — from a sharp AMOLED display, military-grade durability and 160+ sports tracking features to 18-day battery support.
If launched under ₹15,000 in India, it could emerge as a strong competitor to brands like Samsung, Amazfit and Realme in the growing smartwatch segment.
