Amid violence in Bangladesh, Air India brought 205 people to India by special flight
Amid the ongoing coup and violence in Bangladesh, Air India successfully operated a special flight from New Delhi to Dhaka today, transporting 205 individuals, including six children, to India. The chartered A321 Neo aircraft managed to overcome infrastructure challenges at Dhaka airport to complete the mission.
Starting Wednesday, Air India has resumed its two daily flights between New Delhi and Dhaka. Although the airline had to cancel its morning flight to Dhaka on Tuesday, the evening flight departed as scheduled. Other airlines, such as Vistara and IndiGo, have also resumed their regular flights to Dhaka.
All flights to Dhaka were cancelled on Tuesday due to protests against the controversial reservation system in Bangladesh and the resignation of Sheikh Hasina from the post of Prime Minister.
